Liberatory imagination: let it burn
led by peregrine bermas & Tiffany Wong
When
Wednesday October 11, 2024 . 6:30-7:30 pm
Where
Good Company (4947 N Damen Ave.)
INTENTIONS
What would it be like to practice creativity, courage, and audacity to imagine a world free of colonialism, prisons, policing, capitalism, and other forms of oppression? And what if we put into action bringing that world into reality with our community? This space holds possibility while acknowledging truth of where we are at and what we are grieving.
What to expect
Tiffany will open the session with a guided meditation/visualization and journaling with prompts. We will explore what we need to burn down in order to make way for what we are building up. Peregrine will share about the wisdom of our relatives from the garden and the deep woods. We will craft ritual fire starters to honor smoldering rage, reclaim creative destruction, and carry the promise of change into the fallow seasons ahead. All cycles must come to an end.
Bring a your favorite journal + pen.
