What to expect
We invite Palestinian/SWANA/BIPOC and co-conspirator organizers, visualizers, and dreamers to join us at The Groove for a co-led group discussion, yoga, and journaling circle: Liberatory Imagination.
This program explores the themes of liberatory imagination as a form of resistance. We invite you to join us in exploring and digesting what faith (without affiliation from any religion/institution - but each person can draw from their personal belief set) feels like in our bodies as we move towards a future that is unknown. Being rooted in faith means that we move from the foundation where a world free from colonization and exploitation is possible and necessary. Closing with a restorative yoga practice, this gathering will offer a space to explore being rooted in faith, release tension, and continue to find strength in the ongoing fight for justice.
Liberation is possible, collective care is healing, rooting in the possibility is key - none of us are free until we are all free.
Bring a yoga mat, your favorite journal, and dress in comfortable clothing. All yoga supplies (mats, blocks, bolsters) available.
