intentions

What would it be like to practice creativity, courage, and audacity to imagine a world free of colonialism, prisons, policing, capitalism, and other forms of oppression? And what if we put into action bringing that world into reality with our community? This space holds possibility while acknowledging truth of where we are at and what we are grieving.

The theme

"When we understand love as the will to nurture our own and another's spiritual growth, it becomes clear that we cannot claim to love if we are hurtful and absive." - bell hooks

In this dark timeline that just seems to grow darker by the minute, how can be rooted in love? Love for life, for agency, for ease, for creativity, for freedom, for safety. We resist, because we love and demand that every human has access to everything they need. We demand that families stay together, that indigenous people have the right to their land and homes, that access food, shelter, healthcare, is the bare minimum. Let’s get rooted on what drives us.
